This school year, PTSA awarded $10,000 in grant money to CE staff, and we’re so proud of this direct impact!
Please take a look at our end-of-year flyer coming home this week to see every grant awarded! Just a few are:
T-shirts for 5th grade camp
Robots for 1st grade classrooms (so they can learn early coding!)
Flexible-seating for 3rd and 4th graders (think stools that can wobble)
Number Rock (math support) for 2nd graders
Salmon-release field trip for 3rd graders
Walkie talkie replacements for staff!
It’s all thanks to you that we could have such an impactful year!
WOW! PTSA has accomplished SO much this year – with the awesome support of our staff and families.
It’s a massive team effort. Be sure to check out our end-of-year flyer to see all of the fun events from the year, awesome extras (swings! before-school theater and chess! new partnership with King County Library! and so much more).
We are so, so proud to have been able to support the school so heavily and build a thriving team of volunteers.
We hope each of you felt the love and passion from PTSA!
At the core of PTSA is our commitment to equitability and accessibility.
This last year we intentionally moved more programs to the school day to catch as many children as possible.
Instead of more after-school events, we opted to fund assemblies, for example.
And an important part of our event planning process is working with an incredible mom, Melissa Baksa, our ISET Ambassador, who advises on inclusion best-practices. It matters deeply that EVERY child feels that school is a positive place and we take our role in that seriously.
PTSA is above all an advocacy organization, and we invite our families to work alongside us to ensure that every Tiger feels that they belong at Carnation Elementary

We still need volunteers for the Donuts with Grownups event!
Please help us make it a great event!
Do you know an incoming Kindy student starting in the fall?!
We can’t wait to meet them at the Kindergarten Playdate!
Have you heard about Rec & Rally? It’s an open gym program on Wednesdays offering pickleball, ping pong and limited access to our climbing wall (based on volunteer availability).
Now open to elementary students and their families for a special trial period through June 11th!

It’s almost time for Donuts with Grownups on Thursday 6/12!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers!
Whether you gave your time in the classroom, helped at events, served as a lead for PTSA, or supported behind the scenes, we are so grateful for you. Your energy, ideas, and kindness helped make this school year stronger, more connected, and full of memorable moments for our students, staff, and families!
It truly takes a village, and we’re lucky to have the very best in Carnation! And a special shout out to Bakey Cupcakey for these beautiful thank you cookies (details will be sent to volunteers for when/where to pick one up)!
Our PTSA theme this year was Reading Rainbow: I Can Go Anywhere!
and we’re so excited to fund the gift that keeps on giving: BOOKS!
PTSA membership approved more than $4,000 in book purchases from next year’s Rad Reader list to flood every classroom this summer. Our hearts are full and grateful to be able to give this gift!
Thank you Tigers, and thank you Rad Readers team for such a thoughtful and impressive list of books our kids will thoroughly enjoy!
