Each year on March 21, communities around the world recognize World Down Syndrome Day, a time to celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and promote inclusion and belonging.
The date 3/21 is symbolic. Down syndrome occurs when a person has three copies of the 21st chromosome, also known as Trisomy 21.
Our school will celebrate this day on Friday, March 20. Students and staff are invited to show their support by:
-
Wearing blue and yellow, the colors associated with Down syndrome awareness
-
Rocking crazy or mismatched socks to celebrate differences and spark conversations about inclusion
When we celebrate diversity, we help create a school community where everyone belongs.

As our amazing Tigers stock up on their Paw Tickets, Mr. DelRosso keeps our PBIS Prize Cart stocked with fun rewards for them to spend their hard-earned tickets on!
