Please consider grabbing a slot for your child’s classroom, the following list is the teachers who do not yet have a liaison, so please email us at ceptsa@outlook.com if you’re interested.

Transportation Tips

September 19, 2023

Our Transportation Team is helping make this a great beginning to the school year. A few quick reminders for parents to continue making the transportation experience to and from school running smooth.

• Parents should arrive at the bus stop at least five minutes early in the morning and afternoon.

• Kindergarten students will not be released from the bus unless a parent or approved guardian is at the bus stop at the time the bus stops to drop off the student.

• Bus passes are required for all students who are riding a different bus or departing at a different bus stop.

• Bulky items that are not safe on a school bus are required to be transported by parents.

• In the event that a student is suspended from riding the bus, parents are required to provide transportation to and from school.

Should you have any questions for our Transportation Team, please visit the Transportation Center website: https://www.bus.rsd407.org/ or call (425) 844-4540 during regular business hours.

Hispanic Heritage Month

From the Riverview School District Facebook page….

#SharingSunday Story No. 7
Ellen Ochoa – A Hispanic Heritage Month Profile
As a part of #SharingSunday during Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), Riverview School District will be recognizing members of the Hispanic/Latinx community who have left a lasting legacy on our culture.
In 1993, Ellen Ochoa became the first Hispanic woman to go to space, serving a nine-day mission aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery. She has since made four additional trips to space, logging more than 1,000 hours outside the Earth’s orbit. She would go on to lead the Johnson Space Center in 2012.

Learn more about the amazing contributions and achievements of Ellen Ochoa through this video, produced by Untold History – a project of the Driving Force Institute for Public Engagement.

“Being A Kid” Video

September 14, 2023

We conclude our first #SharingSunday of the 2023-2024 school year, with a short film shared with our staff at our annual Welcome Back staff event.

Directed by 2023 CHS graduate Noah Massengill, with a concept created by Noah, fellow 2023 CHS graduate Tejasvini Vijay and Riverview’s Director of Communications, Mike Ward, “Being a Kid” paired five kindergarteners with five seniors in June 2023.

They spent the afternoon together and the day was incredibly meaningful and reflective for all involved.
As Paige eloquently shares in the film: “At the end of the day, it’s just basketball and kickball and you’re just trying to have fun.”

Have a great week Riverview and we hope you enjoy “Being a Kid” as much as we all do.
