Remember when PTSA helped bring beloved children’s author Ben Clanton (of Narwhal fame) in for an assembly? Well we kept some of his sketches to display – this is a preview of what will be framed in the library to continue to inspire kids to think big, read a lot and illustrate anything they can dream up!
PTSA granted the fuzziest auditions to Mrs. Kober’s class!
Kindergartners got to observe the life cycle of these baby chicks as they hatched into adorable babies (who all just went home to live a very loved life with a local backyard flock).
For the first time this year, PTSA members Dane Halfdane and Michelle Conlan, with the help of Mr. Del Rosso, formed and ran our first ever Yearbook Club!
Club members took photos and videos at assemblies and on spirit days, and at after-school events. With 25 eager students in the club, the challenge was always finding enough work to match their enthusiasm. They ended up branching out to a collaborative art project of creating a photogenic backdrop for the talent show and rounded things out with monthly meetings hosting guest speakers who showcased photography and design skills.
CEPTSA and Riverview Education Foundation co-funded iPads for the club to take photos and make slideshows. This will also enable students next year to be more active participants in helping with the yearbook layout. PTSA is so proud of this awesome effort!
Such a special tradition for 1st graders across the district!
Thank you Rotary Club of Duvall for spreading literacy to students and encouraging them on their reading journey!
PTSA treated Tigers to a musical assembly!
The nonprofit Back to Bach taught students about chamber and orchestra pieces and performed musical examples.
It was a beautiful way to expose kids to classical music and inspire them to become musicians themselves!
