Join the PTSA and help make a difference!

December 12, 2022

Washington State PTA is a grassroots membership organization that works to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Membership is open to anyone interested in the health, safety, and education of children regardless of school boundaries. Our goal is a membership that reflects the diversity of the children and families across our state.

Anyone who would like to become a part of the state’s oldest and largest child advocacy organization may do so by joining our local Carnation Elementary PTSA https://carnationptsa.org/membership/.

PTSA Grant for field trip to The Nutcracker!

December 9, 2022

One of the joys of PTSA is giving grants to teachers to help cover some costs of classroom activities and field trips. For Mrs. Panesko’s 5th grade class, we recently were able to help send them to see George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. What a beautiful way to bring art and culture to the kids. We hope they had a great time! Every dollar donated means more opportunities for us to make events like this accessible for all of our students- current and future! Thank you so much!

A great update from the Washington State PTA!

December 1, 2022

WSPTA’s legislative advocacy efforts don’t stop with our top 5 legislative priorities! The “also supported” issues on WSPTA’s legislative platform include topics such as climate change, the digital divide, family engagement, highly capable students and programs, meaningful high school diplomas, mastery-based learning, school construction funding, and the need for a diverse and effective educator workforce.
