Washington State PTA is a grassroots membership organization that works to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Membership is open to anyone interested in the health, safety, and education of children regardless of school boundaries. Our goal is a membership that reflects the diversity of the children and families across our state.
Anyone who would like to become a part of the state’s oldest and largest child advocacy organization may do so by joining our local Carnation Elementary PTSA https://carnationptsa.org/membership/.

One of the joys of PTSA is giving grants to teachers to help cover some costs of classroom activities and field trips. For Mrs. Panesko’s 5th grade class, we recently were able to help send them to see George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. What a beautiful way to bring art and culture to the kids. We hope they had a great time! Every dollar donated means more opportunities for us to make events like this accessible for all of our students- current and future! Thank you so much!
WSPTA’s legislative advocacy efforts don’t stop with our top 5 legislative priorities! The “also supported” issues on WSPTA’s legislative platform include topics such as climate change, the digital divide, family engagement, highly capable students and programs, meaningful high school diplomas, mastery-based learning, school construction funding, and the need for a diverse and effective educator workforce.

Holiday cards and photo gifts are always on people’s minds this time of year! We have partnered with Minted to offer everyone who uses our code FUNDRAISECARNATION a 20% discount, and every purchase made with this code generates a 15% discount back to your CEPTSA.
Not only are they offering this code to us permanently (think all your purchases all year long!) but they are committed to inclusion by opening their marketplace to all artists and to sustainability with nearly all recyclable packaging.
They go above and beyond in quality! We love Minted and their mission, and hope that you will too!

Special thank you to our staff appreciation team for putting this together for the month of November! What a creative and clever way to treat our staff with a variety of beverages, perfect for this fall weather we are having! Thank you!
We need your stories, we need your voice, and we need you! PTA’s legacy is strong because of passionate advocates just like you building our legislative platform, one resolution at a time. We currently need someone to fill the Advocacy chair for Carnation Elementary. Is that you?! Check out what the Washington State PTA priorities are for the next couple of years and think about how you can fill the void the CEPTSA has with your goals and passions!
