Yesterday, PTSA members Laura Ancich, Ashley Borjeson and Char Richenburg visited all the classrooms to talk about the new, year long RADIANT READERS Challenge.
Look for another book list in your Tiger’s backpack this week and help get them to their goal of 15 books!

Our amazing librarian, Mr. Heimfeld, has created a RADIANT READERS section in the CE library and
the wonderful librarians at the Carnation public library have done the same!
As books are read (or listened to), students will have the opportunity to add their names to the bulletin board in the hallway outside of the CE library (pictured).

Picture retakes are Thursday, November 14!
If you would like retakes, please send your photo packet to school and have your student give it to their teacher.
For students who were absent on our first picture day or are new to our school, orders may be placed at mydorian.com, or your student can bring their order form to their teacher.
We are still in need of volunteers this Wednesday, November 13 for BINGO NIGHT to be a success.
We can’t have these events without the help of our amazing volunteer community.
Please consider volunteering for a shift if you plan on attending. If you know any Tolt or Cedarcrest students in need of volunteer hours, please feel free to forward the sign up to them as well.

Carnation Elementary is the grateful recipient of funding from the public library
for Otter and Sasquatch book collections for each and every classroom!
And, we want to include our kindergarteners (Otter starts at 1st grade) – please consider purchasing books to include our youngest readers!

Hey CE community, we need YOUR HELP! Empower Youth Network is looking for more survey responses!
EYN invites adults in the Snoqualmie Valley to take a community survey to inform their work in this space.

Thursday 10/31 is PTSA Book Character Costume Day! Students may also wear Halloween costumes.
– Costumes should be comfortable
– No face paint or face coverings
– No weapons or references to weapons
– Please leave wands etc. at home
Attention Fifth Graders! Get your creative juices flowing because it’s time to whip up some original masterpieces for our Yearbook Cover Contest!
Check out the guidelines in the communication document. Don’t forget, the students’ artistic gems are due by December 6th!
