It Starts With You: Engage, Listen, and Connect
At Empower Youth Network, we believe that youth are central to a thriving community—and that families and caring adults play a key role in helping them grow up safe, healthy, and successful. That is what It Starts With You is all about – a campaign that encourages connection, conversation, and community support for youth.
We need your help!
We’re aiming for at least 100 survey responses from across Snoqualmie Valley to better understand and represent our community’s perspectives. The survey is available online in English and Spanish, with printed copies at all Snoqualmie Valley KCLS Libraries.
It takes just five minutes and helps shape future youth prevention efforts.
Take the survey today and make a difference! Survey closes Friday, November 14, 2025.

As our grand prize for Tiger Walk, we had an unforgettable visit from Scott Peterson — The Reptile Man! He led two amazing assemblies and an incredible evening family event where students and families got to meet some scaly friends up close. From snapping selfies with Lucy the Alligator to holding a giant snake, it was truly a wild and exciting experience for everyone!
A huge thank-you to The Reptile Man for bringing the adventure to Carnation Elementary — and to all our students, families, and staff who made this event such a success!
