CEPTSA Advocacy
For more than 100 years, PTA has advocated for the health, safety, welfare, and education of all children and youth and provided support to members so that they can speak with a powerful voice and be a relevant resource for parents. From the beginning, PTA has advocated for a strong public school system to ensure equity and opportunity for all children. PTA has never lost sight of this goal and continues to flourish as an advocacy group operating at the national, state, and local levels - often within a school community, and in partnership with educators, legislators, and policy makers. – From the WSPTA Advocacy Handbook
Carnation Elementary PTSA is proud to be part of this effort and welcomes your questions, comments, and ideas around Advocacy issues. Email ceptsa@outlook.com to learn more!

- Legislative Assembly - Lend your voice! The 43rd Annual Legislative Assembly took place in a virtual format on October 23 and 24, 2021. The purpose of the legislative assembly is to determine the legislative priorities of WSPTA, to educate and mobilize advocates, and to advance WSPTA’s legislative program. At the legislative assembly, you will discover the power PTA has to advocate for every child – the whole child – regardless of race, creed, gender, or zip code. In PTA, every member has an equal voice, and your input matters a great deal to the success of our member-driven platform.
