Carnation Elementary Autism Awareness & Acceptance Week
March 23, 2026
March 23–29
World Autism Awareness Day: April 2
Our school is proud to celebrate Autism Awareness & Acceptance Week. A time to learn, reflect, and celebrate the many ways our students think, learn, and shine. This week focuses on building understanding, kindness, and a strong sense of belonging for all learners.
Why This Matters
Autism Awareness & Acceptance Week helps our school community:
Build empathy and understanding of neurodiversity
Celebrate the strengths, creativity, and individuality of autistic students
Encourage inclusion, respect, and kindness
Create a school culture where every child feels seen and valued
April is recognized internationally as Autism Acceptance Month, with World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, established by the United Nations. During this time, communities around the world come together to promote acceptance, inclusion, and support for autistic individuals and their families.
