Radiant Readers
How to Participate:
1. CHOOSE A BOOKLIST. There are two booklists of carefully curated books — CUBS (Grades K-2) and TIGERS (Grades 3-5). Each booklist consists of 30 books as well as choice options. Books range from classics to more current titles as well as Otter & Sasquatch Award nominees.
2. READ 15 BOOKS BY APRIL 16th. Read independently or with friends & family. Listening to audio books or having someone read to you, (including teacher read Alouds) also counts! Track reading progress with a parent or teacher signature on your booklist.
3. CELEBRATE!
All students will be included in a school day celebration during the second week of May!
K-2 students who read 15 books from the Cubs list by April 16th will receive an award.
Students in grades 3-5 who read 15 books from the Tigers list will be invited to our after-school Rad Reader’s celebration in May!
***NEW this year!***
We want to celebrate the progress of our Radiant Readers by celebrating their efforts along the way. When your student reads 5 books from the Radiant Readers list, they will receive a prize! When they read 10 total Radiant Readers books, they will receive a gift certificate to Kelsey’s Koffee for a 12oz Italian soda! Kelsey’s Koffee is RAD!
When your student hits these benchmarks, use the slip attached to the book lists sent in backpack mail, fill it out and return it to school. Need a new one? Use the link below!
